Nvidia commits $3 billion and AMD $1 billion to Meta’s AI equity raise while deepening Muse and Vera Rubin work

Chip-vendor interest becomes named equity. Muse optimisation, OpenShell consideration, Helios racks, and Spectrum-X join the cheque.

Monday's Meta equity path named chip-vendor interest up to $5 billion. Tuesday put dollars and product roadmaps on two of those names.

On 27 October 2026 Nvidia and AMD each published partnership notes that couple equity tickets to Muse and infrastructure collaboration. Read this as a follow-on to Meta's underwritten raise and planned ATM; the financing structure itself is unchanged.

Nvidia $3 billion, AMD $1 billion, and deeper Muse silicon ties

Nvidia said it will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering. The same release says the companies will expand work on Muse and the Muse family of models to improve inference and training performance and total cost of ownership. Meta intends to expand deployment of Vera Rubin and Vera CPUs for next-generation AI agents, and to deploy Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4. Nvidia and Meta will also consider collaboration on Nvidia's OpenShell Reference Architecture, including OpenShell for safe deployment and Nvidia Sentry for monitoring agent behaviour.

AMD, in a parallel release the same day, said it will invest $1 billion in Meta's equity offering. AMD highlighted Helios rackscale solutions already installed and under test at Meta on a path to broader near-term deployment, and EPYC processors supporting dedicated compute environments behind Muse, with Meta as a lead customer for 6th Gen EPYC and collaboration on future generations including "Verano".

Instinct GPUs are already in production for training, ranking, and recommendation, with a custom Instinct GPU path and MI500-series roadmap influence also named. AMD also claims Day-0 support for Muse Spark Open on Instinct and Muse Glimmer on Ryzen AI PCs and Radeon GPUs, plus expanded ROCm/PyTorch software work on MI350X recommendation training.

CNBC summarised the combined Nvidia and AMD equity tickets as $4 billion against Meta's Monday path to raise about $95 billion for AI infrastructure. Meta's Monday materials had described non-binding interest from Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom in up to an aggregate $5 billion of Class A common. Broadcom did not appear in Tuesday's named commitment releases summarised here.

Nvidia IR, AMD IR, and Meta's still-open book

Nvidia Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices shipped the 27 October releases. Meta remains the issuer on the equity offering; Nvidia and AMD are described as investing in that offering, with Nvidia's release carrying forward-looking language on completion and closing conditions. Muse users, advertisers, and API customers are not bound by the equity tickets. OpenShell and Sentry work is framed as under consideration; no joint product SKU ships on this date.

Named cheques replace 'up to $5 billion' interest, with product strings attached

What is new is the conversion of Monday's non-binding aggregate interest language into dated, named equity commitments: $3 billion from Nvidia and $1 billion from AMD, plus concrete collaboration menus: Muse optimisation, Vera Rubin / Vera CPU / Spectrum-X / BlueField-4 on the Nvidia side, and Helios / EPYC-under-Muse / Instinct / Day-0 Muse model support on the AMD side.

That is distinct from the prior Meta financing piece that covered the underwritten sleeve, ATM path, and the still-non-binding cornerstone indications. The circular-financing thesis gains named dollars; it does not yet settle Broadcom, final allocations at pricing, or whether OpenShell/Sentry leave the "consider" column.

Closing conditions, Broadcom, and 'consider' remain open

The Nvidia and AMD releases are dated 27 October 2026; Meta's equity launch materials sit on 26 October. The equity tickets are stated as $3 billion and $1 billion; share counts and final offering prices still follow Meta's pricing process. Vera Rubin, Vera CPU, Spectrum-X, BlueField-4, Helios, EPYC, and Instinct lines are named as deployment or collaboration intent, with Helios still under test toward broader deployment. These are US IR releases, not a model-weight event.

Whether the investments close at the stated sizes, whether Broadcom participates, how much of Meta's Muse inference actually moves onto the named stacks, and whether OpenShell and Sentry become contractual products remain unsettled on these pages.

File $4 billion of named vendor equity beside the $95 billion path

Infrastructure and sell-side desks should replace "up to $5 billion chip-vendor interest" with Nvidia $3 billion and AMD $1 billion as of 27 October, while keeping Broadcom and closing conditions marked open. Competitive GPU buyers should read the Muse optimisation and Helios/Vera Rubin deployment language as supply-priority signals, not as exclusive locks. Security engineers following agent sandboxes should watch OpenShell and Sentry for a later productised announcement rather than treating Tuesday's "consider" language as a control available today.

Nvidia and AMD's 27 October releases carry the equity and collaboration language; CNBC summarised the combined $4 billion tickets against Meta's Monday raise path. Closing conditions and Broadcom remain open on those pages.
